If anything she was waiting for him to laugh at her over how emotional and attached she was to him despite the fact he wouldn't have felt the same if she were in that position. If she had died on that mission, she doubted he would have felt any remorse for his actions -- and she very well could have. Because in reality it hadn't been a mission, it hadn't even been approved by Garden. She'd just stupidly chased after him for... for reasons she still wasn't even entirely sure of. Some of it was there, but there was something else that she doesn't want to look too hard at.

She allows the phone's weight to settle in her hand for a moment, staring down at the receiver before she finally sets it back down, on the hook.
